National ID Digital – Download National ID Digital Copy For Filipino Citizen
The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) is now calling all the Filipinos to Download and use their National ID Digital , it is an official electronic version of Philsys ID, can be accessed through the eGovPH app or via the National ID Website.
The Digital National ID is the official digital version of the National ID, which can be accessible via Smartphones and Computers. Can be presented as a Valid proof of identity in various transactions in government offices and private institutions.
What is National id digital?
The Philippine National ID Digital is also called as PhilID, it is a Government-issued identification card that contains your Personal information like: Full Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Address, Blood Type, Nationality and a unique (PSN) PhilSys Number.
The Card is a part of Philippine Identification System (PhilSys) a national ID system established under the Republic Act No. 11055 to identity verification for both Public and Private transactions. The Digital National ID is an electronic version of your physical PhilID.
Documentary requirements to register
To register National ID you need to submit a valid Documents as Follows:
- Philippine Passport
- Passport issued by the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA)
- (UMID) Unified Multi-Purpose Identification Card issued by the (GSIS) Government Service Insurance System
- (SSS) Social Security System
- Professional Driver’s License issued by the LTO
- PSA-Issued Certificate of Live Birth and one Government-Issued ID
Note: If you don’t have any of the above mention documents, PhilSys will accept secondary supporting documents as follows:

- Senior Citizen’s ID Issued by the (OSCA) Office of Senior Citizens Affairs or
- (LGU) Local Government units.

- (LTOPF) License to Own or Possess Firearms
- (NBI) National Bureau of Investigation Clearance.
- Police Clearance ID
- Solo Parent ID
- Voter’s ID Issued by the commission on Election (COMELEC)
- Postal ID – Issued by the Philippine Postal Corporation
- Taxpayer Identification Number
- PhilHealth ID
- National ID From other Countries
- Residence ID From other Countries
- Eligibility card issued by the Civil service Commission
- (AFP) Dependent’s ID Issued by the Armed Forces of the Philippines and (PNP) Philippine National Police ID
How to Download National ID?
National ID digital Copy Download
To Download National Digital ID Copy follow the steps given below:
- Download the eGovPH app form the Google Play Store or Apple App Store form the link given below:
- Create an account if you don’t have an account
- If you have an account login directly into the app
- Enter Personal Information
- Enter Your First Name, Middle Name, Last Name and Date of Birth (DOB)
Note: Make sure that you enter Details correctly matching to your National ID Registration, if error your identity wont get verified.
- Next step you need to click on “Start Liveness”. align your face on the screen and follow the steps to move forward to the next steps.
- Follow the instruction: Remove eyeglasses, hats if your wearing, masks, move your face towards the mobile camera or webcam.
- The system will check your live face against stored data.
- You need to move your face in a different direction to verify identity. Screenshot given below to verify
- After Verification you need to click on “View national ID” Image given below for verification
- After clicking on the “View National ID” You will see your National ID in Digital
- Cross Check the following information in your National ID Digital card
- National ID Card Number
- Last Name
- Given Name
- Middle Name
- Date of Birth
- Address
- QR Code
- Next step you will find a option as “Download Digital ID” Click on it, this will download National ID in PDF Format only.
- The Downloaded File will be in a “password-protected” the password for the Downloaded Digital National ID will be your Date of Birth formatted as MMDDYYYY. you need to enter your month, date and year (Must be only in numerical format without any special characters).
Password Format
For Example, if Date of Birth is August 12, 1990, than your password would be 08131990

- Date: 12
- Year: 1990
Note: Once National ID is downloaded it stays available offline in the eGovPH app.

The Republic ACT NO. 11055, or the Philippine identification System Act, Was signed by former President Rodrigo Roa Duterte on August 06, 2018. It is an act establishing a single Nation ID System aims to provide Valid proof for Filipino Citizen.
It is a 12-digit generated unique and permanent identification number that will be given to every citizen or resident alien upon birth or registration by the PSA.
The National ID refers to the valid proof of identity issued by the National ID System.
As of June 2025, the PSA recorded a total of 93,485,139 Registration done and still counting.
